Rival Roll branding overview

Rival Roll was an online skill-based platform — similar to a casino, but with games influenced more by skill than luck. The project required a distinct brand that could stand out in a competitive space while conveying excitement and credibility.

I designed the logo and full branding, created illustrations and imagery for several original games (including game cards and in-game visuals), and produced promotional images for the website — from first deposit and leaderboard campaigns to referral bonuses.

The biggest challenge was distancing the brand from traditional gambling aesthetics — the red-and-black, luck-heavy imagery that dominates that space. Rival Roll's core proposition is skill, competition, and fairness, so the visuals needed to reflect that shift.

The dark navy base keeps the premium, late-night gaming feel, but the bright green accent reads as "win" without leaning into casino clichés. The logo mark combines a die face with a gem-cut geometry — referencing the games while suggesting something more refined and competitive than a slot machine.

For the game cards, I went bold and action-driven — a racing car for Rival Race, imagery that signals competition over passive chance. The promotional graphics carried the same energy: high-contrast compositions with crypto coins, trophies, and megaphones aimed at the platform's crypto-native, competition-first audience.
